Sugar Tubes

There is white sugar, refined, tasteless and insipid. But there is also the sugar taste that can be enhanced with subtle and delicate fragrances. In its packaging concept, Emily Bertrand-Villemure revisits the sugar solid portion that she offers as aromatic spheres. Each flavor is named after a woman's surname just as refined. The spheres are packaged in tubes and offer a renewable taste experience for coffee, tea or other comforting beverages.

  1. cute but when the packaging value far outweighs it's contents value it is kind of pointless isn't it?

  2. I'm sure that the wax paper doesn't cost all that much, and it's fragrant sugar, so I'm sure it's a bit more expensive than your typical sugar.

  3. it's not the cost of the materials... but the cost of machinery to cut and assemble a 2 piece custom package... as well as the printing on both pieces of the packaging... if the white wrapper was left without printing and could be used universally across all flavours it would save $.
