The drink is a tribute to the Gauchos (gauchos in Spanish) horse people who live in the Pampas region (Argentina, Uruguay and southern Brazil). Such people have to drink the Mate, a sort of tea, also called Chimarrão.
Besides the honor of the gauchos and their official drink, flavored Jujos del Mate, was created packaging for soda lime and orange flavors, and mineral water.
