Designed by Hugh Heffernan, a student at the Cork Institute of Technology, Ireland.
My latest college project challenged me to create a 'Quirky' Artisan product. Combining Psychedelic and Victorian styles I created the 'Elixir' product range. A range of soft drinks with uncommon fruit flavourings. The concept evolved from the history of soft drinks original purpose, particularly Coca-Cola, as it originated as a pharmaceutical product.
It is aimed at young people with an adventurous taste. To generate a defining identity, not only for the brand, but also for each product I created an illustrated creature that would somewhat reflect each flavour. It is a light-hearted product, the humor is mainly derived from the playful language in each descriptor.
