Moon Cake Imperial Palace

Designed by Paul Yeung, China.

Mid-Autumn Day is an important traditional festival in China. On that day, the moon shows full moon in the sky at night. While people gather together to eat mooncakes which represent s a happy reunion. Mooncakes are important for Chinese people in Mid-Autumn Day.

The Chinese name of Imperial Palace Restaurant includes two key words: Chao and Imperial. Chao represents Chao Shan Culture and food habit. Imperial represents noble and high-end quality. Thus, our mooncakes boxes this year will fully indicate these elements.

The position for the mooncakes this year is to have brand identity with a series of products targeting for high-end consumers.

See the logo design. The semi-circle represents full moon, auspicious clouds and Ruyi. When we design mooncakes boxes, we always bear with environmental protection and reusability in mind.

E.g. the first mooncakes box has recycled chopsticks.

The second one is a lantern. We have instructions on how to use it.

This one –seven stars accompanies the moon. We have full moon cup. When you pour tea in slowly, it is new moon at the beginning. New moon turns into full moon when more tea is getting in.

This one is an incense burner. It is Chao Shan culture to incense.

The last one is fruit dishes. The mooncakes boxes can be separated for different uses. The cover can still be a cover or a new dish.
