Location: Pune, India
Packaging Contents: Die-cast cars
Packaging Substrate / Materials: Paper
A collaborative classroom project that involved redesigning the packaging for a product and the visuals on it. We chose Matchbox cars as our subject because of our mutual interest in them. One of the key issues we felt the existing 'blister packs' for die-cast cars had are the inability to put the car back into the package after opening. This is a common hindrance for most collectors of die-cast cars (of which there are entire communities) who want to maintain the value of their collectibles. Our redesign of the package was done with the intention of tackling that problem.
What's Unique?
Since the range is meant for collectors, the package is reusable, i.e. consumers can put the car back into the pack once it is opened. It's designed for store display as well as collector’s showcases.
