In this school exam project I illustrated Mark Haddon's book, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

The cover design's key visual is the dog, mixing it with the main character, Christopher's dream, to be an astronaut. Christopher is 15 years old and has autism. He hates when food touches on his plate and when strangers touch him. He loves the order of every little detail and he is very smart and loves mathematics.

I wanted to understand and bring closer his emotional state to the reader and show how he sees the world through his eyes. For the illustrations I created a strong line, a contrast between the boy and the world to show what it feels like to be an outsider.
