Packaging design and naming for a 100% organic, premium quality olive oil, offered in limited edition for Vassilis Roussas, a priest and an organic farmer. The task was to imprint into the packaging his philosophy on organic cultivation. Drawing inspiration from grower’s hard effort of making olive oil, we honor his attempt incorporating his philosophy and values into the design process. The name was given as a reference to this act of making.

Influenced by relevant Greek literature references, we ended up with a poem written by the client, that was also his personal statement on nature and organic cultivation. Elements from poems were interpreted and translated to layout. The typography was treated accordingly: classic, in black color, applied on white absorbent paper. The combination of serif and san serif letterforms, suggests the coexistence of old and new: the classical values of the extra virgin olive oil meets up with the new bio-cultivation techniques used nowadays.
