Cadbury started when John Cadbury opened a grocer’s shop at 93 Bull Street, Birmingham. Among other things, he sold cocoa and drinking chocolate, which he prepared himself using a mortar and pestle. It is now manufactured in more than 15 countries around the world.

I decided to create a visual system for Cadbury Dairy Milk in Japan, where it is virtually non-existent. I picked three of the things Japan is most famous for - Cherry Blossoms (Sakura), Green Tea (Matcha) and Seaweed.

I researched on dairy milk packaging in other countries, font pairing trials and various colour combinations. Finally I created packaging graphics for the 3 chosen flavours in 2 variations ( dual colour background & single Cadbury purple background).
What's Unique?
Cadbury manufactures Dairy Milk in more than 15 countries around the world. In every country they have flavours that the region is famous for. Through this project I introduced Dairy Milk in Japan by selecting the things Japan is famous for - Sakura, Matcha & Seaweed. I have created the packaging in both English and Japanese to cover 2 main demographics.
