Montibello is a Spanish company specialised in manufacturing and distributing professional cosmetics. This firm entrusted our agency Little Buddha the task of creating the new packaging for its latest innovation in professional hair colouring: the first and only ammonia-free and water-based hair dye range able to achieve the same colour and shine as natural hair. A new range of hair dyes which offers superior colouring services thanks to the revolutionary AQUAGEL technology to get the most natural-looking results.

Thus, the main goal of this packaging was to convey naturalness, sophistication and innovation.

On the one hand, the product naming, DÉNUÉE states its promise and main objective: a non-artificial product that invites you to discover a new naturalness for your hair with a French word that means “free of something” and is a reminder of the glamour of French cosmetics.

On the other hand, the product packaging uses a modern and sans serif typography which creates a harmonious and organised group, where the information is displayed hierarchically and following an editorial style to make it easy to read. An illustration of a flower with a subtle tone-on-tone that refers to the different natural active ingredients used in the formula and that express a feminine elegance.
This design is strong and flexible to be adapted to different formats and keep its consistency due to the use of the same recognisable image on any format, making it easy to identify in the salon.

Moreover, the use of a white coloured background helps to frame the proposed graphic, projecting purity, and making the product clean and subtle. Furthermore, the packaging integrates a simple and direct picturisation of the product’s features and benefits to communicate them in a clear and honest way: “Vegan” & “90% naturally derived ingredients”.

Thereby, the result was an elegant, Frenchified naming and a subtle, minimalist, and modern design that highlights the product’s natural ingredients and the quality of their innovation.
