Luxelab: Blonde-Aid Masque

Designed by Dustin Edward Arnold, United States.
Additional Credits: CD & Product/Formula Developer: Douglas Little

Luxelab is a design savvy salon which promotes creative and artistic practices through it’s stylists and patrons. After years of witnessing overly damaged blonde hair, salon owners Jason Lara and David Abrams set out to launch their own product specifically targeted to remedy the situation.

Alongside product/formula developer Douglas Little, I was asked to brand and package a product which was both approachable yet played off the salon’s iconic brand identity and minimalist interior. Mining inspiration from one half LUXE one half LAB “Blonde-Aid” was the perfect tongue-in-cheek solution. The box was then styled after the classic Band-Aid packaging while the vessel was designed as a reference to pills. Further expanding that direction limited editions were created to brand the iconic ‘cross’ design in a playfully modern way.
