About: Kodagu homemade chocolates started as an experimental project by a young couple based in Coorg, India. The brief was to create packaging and brand identity which can help the brand reach a wider audience online and in local retail stores.

Approach: The name Kodagu represents an ancient community from the southern state of Karnataka in India. The imagery used on the package represents the tribe in its ancient avatar. The packaging was created with muted earthy colours to bring out the rustic, homely tone of the brand.

There are three main flavours of dark chocolate - Pepper, Vanilla and Cinnamon.

What's Unique?
The design concept uses imagery that is unique to the local community that evokes a sense of nostalgia. Coorg is a popular holiday destination in India. The design also educates and speaks about the local community to chocolate lovers interacting with the product.
