Tangram is a challenging puzzle game that has its roots in China close to two millennia ago. More than 3000 tangram puzzles exist to date. Each puzzle comprises 7 pieces all of which are a part of a square. The challenge is to put these pieces together to form a shape. The puzzle is for both children and adults. It helps explore the brain and increases the creative process of thinking.
Due to the increase in technology, puzzles like tangram are slowly fading away from the culture. Thus the goal was to create attractive packaging which creates a curiosity in the consumer's mind leading them to buy and play with it.
What's Unique?
What makes this packaging so unique is the dynamic yet simple shape of it. It is minimalist in nature yet unique than any of its competitors. A simple modification to a cuboid by adding a chamfer connects it more to the puzzle. The logo of the packaging is an ambigram which opens new possibilities to stack this product. When stacked, the negative space between the packaging creates the shapes of those of the pieces in a tangram puzzle.
