Il meglio du sud ('the best of the South') refers to the region where the wine is produced, in the south of Switserland. This location is conceptually marked on the bottom of the blue shape, which represents the grape. The wine is produced on the border of two cantons, Valais (french-speaking) and Ticino (Italian-speaking), so 'Il meglio du sud' is a mix of the two languages to embrace this unique culture.
The simplification of the grape to a circular shape that fills almost the entire label is on one side very honest, straightforward and clean and on the other hand very confident, conceptual and graphically very daring. It shows a contemporary side but remains elegant, just like the product.
