We had been working with Guy & Alon Ozery for years now on Ozery Family Bakery, so now it was Ahron Ozery’s turn — he ran a restaurant in Toronto named Parallel & during pandemic, he decided to make his tahini, halva and sesame spreads available in retail.
Original designs in the restaurant had bold colors & a modern aesthetic that we didn’t want to lose, but we wanted to add taste appeal & warmth. We developed a secondary icon calling them “The Sesame Bros.” and took pictures of their perfectly roasted sesame seeds and used them as textural backgrounds to help consumers understand the product & whet the palate.
The result was a brand that felt upbeat, warm and differentiated from the competition. It provided clear communications for the shopper to instantly select his or her product of choice.
What's Unique?
Combining a very minimal section for shop--ability, but then using the background as a canvas for the organic patterns of the sesame seeds.
